my friend invited me to visit her in hoboken and we tried this place together for the first time. amazing food and very cozy atmosphere which i LOVED. saw a variety of parties coming in from friends, to people on dates, to families, a place for all! the food truly blew me away with the presentation and quality! the best part was a complimentary dessert. cannot wait to come back when i'm in NJ! sending thanks from MD for a delicious dinner!

Ordered via Grubhub. Did a scheduled pickup for 9:30, food arrived closer to 10:00. Gingery Chicken Soup was so good! It was very creamy and there were a lot of chicken in there. (Fave) The palak paneer, butter chicken, and naan were okay. Naan was pretty thick and fluffy. Really good garlic flavor! The veggie pakora was a little salty (but I like that so perfect for me).

Small Indian restaurant with typical offerings. We were the only ones there on a Sunday before noon. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The papadum came on the table and I liked the sauces. The papadum was not crisp because it seems to sit out beforehand. The chicken malabar ($17) was in a rich, mild, bland sauce that needed more spices. The chicken was perfectly tender. The naan ($3.50) was excellent because it was thick and soft. The entree portion was massive and I couldn't finish. It came with a mound of rice and some veggies. Dad loved his chicken vindaloo ($17) which was very spicy. They even gave rice pudding complementary at the end. It was a good consistency and sweet but not too sweet. Felt more healthy in a good way than dessert. I would return but order something other than malabar.

It's pricy but worth it! This is my third time coming here and it's always delicious. The tikka masala is delicious with huge chunks of chicken. The naan is huge and the soup that comes with it I love it! The place itself is bright and colorful and the service is quick and they are very kind. If you're in the area try them out

Karma Kafe has ruined all other Indian restaurants for me. I judge all others against this one. Really love the Chana Masala and garlic naan. Top tier Mango Lassi as well.

I was there on a first date yesterday, and I had the time of my life. Food. Service. Ambiance. Karma Kafe has it all. A relaxing vibe coupled with a dedicated staff of truly thoughtful and attentive individuals. The best place in town. Why do you think it's so crowded there at dinner time? Well...you'll have to find out for yourself! 10/10 would recommend, A+ in my heart!

Top quality, big portions, and great cocktails, Karma Kafe has never disappointed over the last ~15 years I've been a patron along with my group of college friends. A meal here is well worth the commute/parking stress, because it truly is the best Indian restaurant in the area! The samosas, chicken tikka masala, cheese naan, and Mango mojito have all been our favorites for years and we can't imagine going anywhere else for our catch-up sessions. Thank you to the crew at Karma Kafe for always providing a great experience!

I loved the biryani here! Not your usual Indian biryani - this biryani was a mix of spicy flavors with goat, chicken, and seafood! I've never had all 3 in one dish. The fish fry was also very good - perfectly fried and flavorful with green masala without dehydrating or overpowering the delicate fish. Service was the good kind of unmemorable and ambiance was decent. My expectations for Indian food in the city are low but this beat it - especially with its unique twists on known dishes. I'd probably give this a 4.5 star rating.

I've been a regular at Karma Kafe for a while now but haven't had many chances to visit in person. The garlic naan came out sizzling and crunchy with a soft center, I was blown away by how good it was. My favorite is the palak paneer as it never disappoints. Most paneer I have lately at other places is super squeaky which I'm not a fan of, but here the texture is perfect. The service was great and they checked on us regularly, also recommending samosas which were tasty. I did prefer the veggie samosa to the chicken, though. We tried the goat curry as well and loved it as it had a good kick with flavor. Solid spot and lively as this place was packed!
